CaLDAS-NSRPS is a continuous offline land-surface assimilation system, which provides analyses of the land surface every 3 h over the domain of the High-Resolution Deterministic Prediction System (HRDPS) at a 2.5 km grid spacing. The emphasis in CaLDAS-NSRPS is to focus upon the assimilation of satellite based remote sensing observations to provide the optimal initial conditions for the predictive components of the NSRPS, the High Resolution Deterministic/Ensemble Land Surface Prediction System (HRDLPS/HRELPS) and the Deterministic/Ensemble Hydrological Prediction Systems (DHPS/EHPS). CaLDAS-NSRPS is launched 4 times per day, at 0000, 0600, 1200, and 1800 UTC. Le système SCanADS-SNPSR a été installé avec un statut expérimental dans le Système national de prévision de surface et de rivières (SNPSR) au Centre de prévision météorologique et environnementale du Canada (CPMEC) d'Environnement et changement climatique Canada (ECCC) en juillet 2019. SCanADS-SNPSR est un système externe d'assimilation qui produit des analyses de la surface terrestre toutes les 3 heures pour le domaine du Système à haute résolution de prévision déterministe (SHRPD) à une résolution de 2.5 km. Dans SCanADS-SNPSR, l'accent est mis sur l'assimilation de données de télédétection satellitaire dans le but de produire les conditions initiales optimales pour les composantes prédictives du SNPSR, le Système de prévision déterministe/ensembliste à haute résolution de la surface terrestre (SPDHRS/SPEHRS) et le Système de prévision hydrologique déterministe/ensembliste (SPHD/SPHE).
