FRI provides: * information to support resource management planning and land use decisions within Ontario’s Managed Zone * information on tree species, density, heights, ages and distribution The SPL data point density ranges from a min of 25pts/m. Each point represents heights of objects such as: * ground level terrain points * heights of vegetation * buildings The lidar was classified according to the Ontario lidar classifications. Low, medium and tall vegetation are classed as 3, 4, 5 and 12 classes. The FRI SPL products include the following digital elevation models: * digital terrain model * canopy height model * digital surface model * intensity model (signal width to return ratio) * forest inventory raster metrics * forest inventory attributes * predicted streams * hydro break lines * block control points Lidar fMVA data supports developing detailed 3D analysis of: * forest inventory * terrain * hydrology * infrastructure * transportation * other mapping applications We made significant investments in Single Photon LiDAR data, now available on the Open Data Catalogue. Nous avons récolté des données SPL à partir d’une plateforme d’acquisition aéroportée dans des conditions « avec feuilles » pour inclusion dans l’Inventaire des ressources forestières (IRF). L’IRF fournit de l’information : * pour soutenir la planification de la gestion des ressources et les décisions d’utilisation des terres dans la partie aménagée de l’Ontario; * sur les essences, la densité, la hauteur, l’âge et la répartition des arbres. La plage de densité des points de données SPL part d’un minimum de 25 points/m. Chaque point représente la hauteur d’éléments comme les suivants : * des points au niveau du sol; * la hauteur de la végétation; * les bâtiments. Les données SPL ont été classifiées selon le système de classification de l’Ontario. La végétation de faible, moyenne et grande hauteur correspond respectivement aux classes 3, 4, 5 et 12. Les produits SPL de l’IRF comprennent les modèles altimétriques numériques suivants : * modèle numérique de terrain; * modèle de hauteur du couvert; * modèle numérique de surface; * modèle d’intensité (rapport largeur de bande/retour du signal); * mesures rastrées pour l’inventaire forestier; * attributs pour l’inventaire forestier; * cours et plans d’eau prédits; * corridors de transport d’électricité; * points de contrôle dans les tuiles. Les données LIDAR soutiennent l’élaboration d’une analyse tridimensionnelle détaillée : * de l’inventaire forestier; * du terrain; * de l’hydrologie; * des infrastructure; * de transport; * d'autres applications cartographiques. Nous avons réalisé d'importants investissements dans les données LiDAR à photon unique, désormais disponibles sur le catalogue de données ouvertes.
