Taiga Air Services Ltd. acquired the imagery from November 16 to December 2, 2014. To collect the data, they flew a helicopter 160 metres from shore and 100 metres above the water. Overlapping oblique images are available in the following formats: * TIFF (120 Mb) * JPG (3.5 Mb) * a photo centre point shapefile, which you can use to link to the images from GIS software Imagery is available as one packaged product for the Lake Simcoe shoreline. To order the data, follow our ordering instructions or contact geospatial@ontario.ca. Imagery will be used to investigate the potential of using oblique imagery to complement existing ortho imagery. This will: * help improve interpretation of shoreline features * update shoreline mapping The imagery also provides a snapshot in time, capturing the current condition of the Lake Simcoe shoreline. Taiga Air Services Ltd. a aquis les données connexes du 16 novembre au 2 décembre 2014. Pour recueillir les données, elle a fait survoler cette zone par un hélicoptère à 160 mètres des rives et à 100 mètres au-dessus de l’eau. Les images obliques superposées sont disponibles dans les formats suivants : * TIFF (120 Mo) * JPG (3,5 Mo) * Fichier de forme du point central des photos pouvant servir à établir un lien avec les images à partir d’un logiciel SIG Les images sont offertes en un seul et même produit pour les rives du lac Simcoe. Les images ont été acquises dans le but d’étudier le potentiel de l’imagerie oblique en complément à l’imagerie orthographique existante afin : * d’obtenir une meilleure interprétation des caractéristiques du littoral; * de mettre à jour la cartographie du littoral. De plus, les images fournissent un instantané dans le temps, lequel capture l’état actuel des rives du lac Simcoe.
