These images serve, among other things, to feed the process of photo-interpretation and production of the ecoforest map essential for sustainable forest management. This mosaic is the result of an assembly of orthophotographs produced since 2002 and represents the most recent images from the ecoforest inventory. The spatial resolution is generally 20, 21, or 30 cm (with some exceptions of 8, 10, 12, and 500 cm). Spectral bands and colors of images vary: black and white (panchromatic [PAN]), infrared (IRP), or natural (red, green, and blue colors [RGB]). This mosaic covers almost all of Quebec south of the 52nd parallel. The images used to produce the mosaic are acquired in a cycle of about 10 years corresponding to the IEQM calendar. Note that imagery acquired through partnerships was excluded due to their more restrictive distribution license and was replaced by historical images from the ecoforest inventory or by satellite imagery when the latter was not available. The orthophotography mosaic is accessible for visualization only using a web mapping service (WMTS). **This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).** Les orthophotographies utilisées pour produire cette mosaïque sont acquises par survol aérien dans le but de répondre aux besoins de l’inventaire écoforestier du Québec méridional (IEQM). Ces images servent, entre autres, à alimenter le processus de photo-interprétation et de production de la carte écoforestière essentielle à l’aménagement durable des forêts. Cette mosaïque est le résultat d’un assemblage d'orthophotographies produites depuis 2002 et représente les images les plus récentes de l’inventaire écoforestier. La résolution spatiale est généralement de 20, 21 ou 30 cm (sauf quelques exceptions de 8, 10, 12 et 500 cm). Les bandes spectrales et les couleurs des images varient : noir et blanc (panchromatique [PAN]), infrarouge (IRP) ou naturel (couleurs rouge, vert et bleu [RGB]). Cette mosaïque couvre la quasi-totalité du territoire québécois au sud du 52e parallèle. Les images servant à produire la mosaïque sont acquises dans un cycle d’environ 10 ans correspondant au calendrier de l’IEQM. Notez que l’imagerie acquise dans le cadre de partenariats a été exclue en raison de leur licence de diffusion plus restrictive et a été remplacée par des images historiques de l’inventaire écoforestier ou par de l’imagerie satellitaire lorsque ces dernières n’étaient pas disponibles.
