Le programme CBS-MEA se concentre sur l'intégration de l'océanographie, des liens dans le réseau alimentaire, des couplages physico-biologiques et des variabilités spatiales et interannuelles. Le programme vise également à élargir la couverture de référence de la diversité des espèces, des abondances et des associations avec les habitats dans des zones de la mer de Beaufort et de l'archipel canadien de l'Ouest précédemment non étudiées. L'étude a eu lieu principalement dans la mer de Beaufort et dans le golfe d'Amundsen. L'échantillonnage est effectué le long de transects à des stations fixes dans la zone d'étude. Les prises sont collectées avec un chalut à perche benthique de 3 m pendant 10 minutes de contact avec le fond à une vitesse cible de 2 noeuds et avec un chalut à panneaux Atlantic Western IIA modifié pendant 20 minutes de contact avec le fond à une vitesse cible de 2,9 noeuds. Un total de 32 stations ont été échantillonnées pour l'épifaune en 2021, 22 en 2022, 23 en 2023 et 22 en 2024, à des profondeurs entre 22 et 655 m. Les invertébrés épibenthiques sont identifiés au niveau taxonomique le plus bas possible et photographiés. Tous les spécimens inconnus sont congelés. En laboratoire, les identifications sont validées ou précisées avec les photos et les spécimens congelés. Les données sont présentées en format Darwin Core et sont séparées en deux fichiers : Le fichier "Activité_épifaune_CBSMEA_epifauna_event_fr" qui contient les informations des missions, des stations et des déploiements, qui sont présenté sous une structure d'activité hiérarchique. Le fichier "Occurrence_épifaune_CBSMEA_epifauna_fr" qui contient les occurrences taxonomiques. This dataset documents the epifauna occurrences collected from 2021 to 2024 during the Canadian Beaufort Sea Marine Ecosystem Assessment (CBS-MEA) conducted by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO). This scientific program focuses on the integration of oceanography, food web linkages, physical-biological couplings, and spatial and interannual variabilities. The program also aims to expand the baseline coverage of species diversity, abundances, and habitat associations in previously unstudied areas of the Beaufort Sea and Western Canadian Archipelago. The study took place mainly in the Canadian Beaufort Sea and the Amundsen Gulf. Sampling is done along transects at fixed stations in the study area. Catches are collected with a 3 m benthic beam trawl for 10 minutes bottom-contact time at a target speed of 2 knots and with a modified Atlantic Western IIA otter trawl for 20 minutes bottom-contact time at a target speed of 2.9 knots. A total of 32 stations were sampled for epifauna in 2021, 22 in 2022, 23 in 2023 and 22 in 2024, between 22-655 m depth. Epibenthic invertebrates were identified to the lowest taxonomic level possible and photographed. All unknown specimens are frozen.
