Upplýsingar um staði sem eru áhugverðir viðkomustaðir vegna sérstöðu í náttúrufari eða menningararfi. Staðirnir hafa verið metnir af heimafólki með tilliti til mögulegs aðdráttarafls fyrir ferðafólk. Gögnin eru fyrst og fremst ætluð til stefnumótunar og skipulagsvinnu innan ferðaþjónustu og hjá sveitarfélögum. Verkefnið er í vinnslu og ekki hægt að líta þannig á að um tæmandi yfilit sé að ræða um alla mögulega eða áhugaverða viðkomustaði.
