- The dataset is published by GEUS as a compiled digital access to heavy mineral concentrate geochemistry, but the underlying data originate from multiple historical campaigns with variable levels of documentation. The data must be used with proper citation of GEUS and the relevant background reports, and users should note that method descriptions, laboratory information, detection limits and quality assurance are not documented consistently for all samples. GEUS cannot guarantee full comparability across campaigns, and the data are provided as-is without liability for third-party use and interpretation.

- Supplemental Information
- The dataset compiles geochemical analyses of heavy mineral concentrate samples from multiple GEUS sampling campaigns in Greenland. Methodological and analytical context varies between campaigns, and not all samples have complete documentation of analytical parameters, laboratories, detection limits, and sample preparation. For the Qaanaaq campaign, concentrates were produced in the GEUS sediment laboratory by heavy liquid separation (density d=2.82) of preconcentrates from field panning of 12 litres of active stream sediments. The analytical tables may include values below detection limits and fields may be coded inconsistently (e.g. as 0, negative values, or blank cells), so the data should be used with professional judgement and with attention to limitations in the original documentation.

- Statement
- The samples were collected in several independent campaigns and projects carried out by GEUS in Greenland. Between 1982 and 1986 a regional campaign was conducted in the Nuuk area, where gravel and sand samples were collected, sieved, panned and separated using heavy liquids before sub-samples were analysed for a range of elements. In 1991, 106 streams in the southern Nuuk region were sampled and heavy mineral concentrates were produced by wet sieving and rotary panning techniques. In 2003, samples were collected in the Qaanaaq region and concentrates were produced by sieving and heavy liquid separation. Analyses were performed at different laboratories, including Activation Laboratories, Bondar-Clegg and Risø National Laboratory, and analytical methods and detection limits vary between campaigns. For a number of samples documentation of sampling and analytical procedures is limited. Results below detection limits are in some campaigns reported as 0 or as negative values, and elements not analysed may be indicated as 0 or left blank. The dataset represents raw analytical results and is not harmonised across campaigns.
