Projected development of the network of reserved lanes and sustainable mobility corridors (Urban and Mobility Plan 2050)
This data set presents the projected development of the network of reserved lanes and sustainable mobility corridors for 2050 and which appears on map 2-5 of the 2050 Urban and Mobility Plan (PUM).
The network of lanes reserved for public transport is one of the preferential measures for buses, along with intelligent priority lights. It makes it possible to increase the performance of the surface network and to ensure an effective network between local services and the structural network. Although it is complementary to the structuring public transport network, redundancy can be observed with the planned developments for certain axes under study. This situation is linked to the fact that the development of a reserved lane may precede, in a sequential logic, the medium or long term establishment of a structuring mode on a given axis. Likewise, in the event that the characteristics of the street pose development challenges for the establishment of a reserved lane, studies will be carried out to specify the optimal and innovative solutions to be put in place in terms of sharing the street in order to promote sustainable mobility.
Sustainable mobility corridors, for their part, highlight areas where complementary arrangements that promote both the improvement of public transport and active transport trips are targeted.
