Measurements are gathered by the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) instrument, a multiband radiance sensor carried aboard the NOAA POES satellites. This product is provided before cloudmasking, and will contain sea surface temperature, land surface temperature, and cloud temperature data.
