~~~~~~~~**Upcoming API change – Strapi 5 upgrade** Our API will be upgraded from Strapi 4 to Strapi 5 on Monday, April 20 between 2:00–3:00 PM Pacific Time. Expect a short outage (up to 30–60 minutes) during the update. Afterward, the REST API may be incompatible with existing Strapi 4 integrations. **Key REST API changes** - Responses are flattened (no attributes wrapper) - documentId replaces id for single‑record requests Example: - ✅ https://bcparks-test-api-gov-bc-ca.test.api.gov.bc.ca/api/regions/hkqzjvpwf3155wwg5bxi3yy7 - ❌ https://bcparks.api.gov.bc.ca/api/regions/2 **Key GraphQL API changes** - Responses are flattened (no attributes wrapper) - documentId replaces id as the primary identifier - Pagination responses use nodes and pageInfo instead of meta.pagination - Some collection queries may require using _connection queries for pagination - Existing queries that reference data.attributes will need to be updated Test Strapi 5 API now - REST: https://bcparks-test-api-gov-bc-ca.test.api.gov.bc.ca/api/ - GraphQL: https://bcparks-test-api-gov-bc-ca.test.api.gov.bc.ca/graphql **Check full Strapi 5 API documentation** - https://docs.strapi.io/cms/api/rest - https://docs.strapi.io/cms/api/graphql BC Parks data is available through the BC Parks API.
