<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><P><SPAN>The USGS Imagery Only Large service from The National Map (TNM) consists of National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) and high resolution orthoimagery (HRO) that combine the visual attributes of an aerial photograph with the spatial accuracy and reliability of a map. Digital orthoimage resolution may vary from 6 inches to 1 meter. In the former resolution, every pixel in an orthoimage covers a six inch square of the earth’s surface, while in the latter resolution, one meter square is represented by each pixel. Many states contribute orthoimagery to The National Map, and the USGS also relies on a partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency. The National Map viewer allows free downloads of public domain, 1-meter resolution orthoimagery in JPEG 2000 (jp2) format for the conterminous United States, with many urban areas and other locations at 1-foot (or better) resolution also in JPEG 2000 (jp2) format. For additional information on imagery products, go to https://lta.cr.usgs.gov/node/300 and https://lta.cr.usgs.gov/high_res_ortho/.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV>

The USGS Elevation Contours service from The National Map (TNM) consists of contours generated for the conterminous United States from 1- and 1/3 arc-second elevation data. Small scale contours derived from 1 arc-second data are displayed at scales ranging from 1:577K to 1:72K in The National Map viewer. Contour intervals are 100 foot between 1:577K and 1:144K, and 50 foot at 1:72K. Large scale contours derived from 1/3 arc-second data are displayed at 1:50K (and larger). Large scale contour intervals are variable across the United States depending on complexity of topography. The National Map viewer allows free downloads of public domain contour data in either Esri File Geodatabase or Shapefile formats. The 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) provides elevation data for The National Map and basic elevation information for earth science studies and mapping applications. Scientists and resource managers use elevation data for global change research, hydrologic modeling, resource monitoring, mapping and visualization, and many other applications. For additional information on 3DEP, go to http://nationalmap.gov/3DEP/.

View spatial imagery of Ontario captured by satellite or airplane. __Background__ Every five years, the Ministry of Natural Resources coordinates projects to photograph high resolution imagery of settled areas of the province. Geospatial Ontario (GEO) acquires, maintains, and distributes this high-resolution imagery collected across Ontario. From 2013 to 2023, public and private sector organizations partnered with Ontario to share in the costs of acquiring aerial imagery. Project participants included: * other Ontario ministries * municipalities * federal agencies * conservation authorities * non-government organizations (NGOs) * private companies Starting in 2024, GEO will fully fund imagery acquisitions. All imagery will be released openly and available to everyone as soon as the imagery is ready as a mappable product. __Technical information__ This record includes all collections of digital orthophotography which are currently open to the public. Collections are differentiated by year of acquisition and region of the province covered. Orthophotographs are primarily taken during the spring in leaf-off/low-leaf conditions. All orthophotography is available as GeoTIFFs with the following bands of spectral information: * red * green * blue * near-infrared Pixel size is consistent within collections but varies between collections, ranging from a minimum of 16 cm to a maximum of 50 cm. __Open imagery access restrictions__ Starting in 2024, most orthophotography acquisitions will be made available under the Open Government Licence. This only applies to orthophotography collections where Ontario owns the intellectual property rights. __Open Government licensed orthophotography collection release schedule__ 2022 release: * Algonquin 2015 * Central Ontario Orthophotography (COOP) 2016 * Digital Raster Acquisition Project East (DRAPE) 2008 * Digital Raster Acquisition Project East (DRAPE) 2014 * Simcoe Muskoka Dufferin 2008 * South Central Ontario Orthophotography Project (SCOOP) 2013 * Southwest Ontario Orthophotography Project (SWOOP) 2006 * Southwest Ontario Orthophotography Project (SWOOP) 2010 * Southwest Ontario Orthophotography Project (SWOOP) 2015 2023 release: * Northwest Ontario Orthophotography Project (NWOOP) 2017 2024 release: * South Central Ontario Orthophotography Project (SCOOP) 2018 * South Central Ontario Orthophotography Project (SCOOP) 2023 * Digital Raster Acquisition Project East (DRAPE) 2019-2020 * Southwest Ontario Orthophotography Project (SWOOP) 2020 * Central Ontario Orthophotography Project (COOP) 2021 * Northwest Ontario Orthophotography Project (NWOOP) 2022 2025 release: * Digital Raster Acquisition Project East (DRAPE) 2024 2026 release: Southwest Ontario Orthophotography Project (SWOOP) 2025

<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><P><SPAN>USGS developed The National Map Gazetteer as the federal and national standard (ANSI INCITS 446-2008) for geographic nomenclature based on the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS). The National Map Gazetteer contains information about physical and cultural geographic features, geographic areas, and locational entities that are generally recognizable and locatable by name (have achieved some landmark status) and are of interest to any level of government or to the public for any purpose that would lead to the representation of the feature in printed or electronic products and/or geographic information systems. The dataset includes features of all types in the United States, its associated areas, and Antarctica, current and historical, but not including roads and highways. The dataset holds the federally recognized name of each feature and defines the feature location by state, county, USGS topographic map, and geographic coordinates. Other attributes include names or spellings other than the official name, feature classification, and historical and descriptive information. The dataset assigns a unique, permanent feature identifier, the Feature ID, as a standard Federal key for accessing, integrating, or reconciling feature data from multiple datasets. This dataset is a flat model, establishing no relationships between features, such as hierarchical, spatial, jurisdictional, organizational, administrative, or in any other manner. As an integral part of The National Map, the Gazetteer collects data from a broad program of partnerships with federal, state, and local government agencies and other authorized contributors. The Gazetteer provides data to all levels of government, to the public, and to numerous applications through a web query site, web map and feature services, file download services, and customized files upon request. The National Map viewer allows free downloads of public domain geographic names data by state in a pipe-delimited text format. For additional information, go to http://nationalmap.gov/gnis.html.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV>
