This dataset of Crown Land includes land managed by the Department of Energy.
-
This dataset of Crown land includes land managed by the Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development (DNRED). Creation – The data was created in the 90s using the codes from the Forest Cover data. In Early 2000 a project was undertaken to correct the errors in ownership that was present in the data. The project compared the data to that of Service New Brunswick and where there were discrepancies in DNRED’s ownership some research was done to correct DNRED’s data, SNB’s data or both. The data is constantly being updated as the department disposes of and/or acquires land, or new survey plans are prepared providing the location of the boundary. Other updates may be done to correct errors after some research has been done on ownership of land. Level of accuracy can vary from boundaries based on the Grant Reference Plans to a survey prepared by a Registered New Brunswick Land Surveyor.

This application allows users to interactively view Crown land interest data layers and explore land parcels. It is intended to be used as a research tool to assist land research on interests on British Columbia Crown land. The tool can be used to view Crown land interest data, imagery, add your own data, and print maps. This application does not include all interests on Crown land. Rather, it provides a curated selection of publicly available data. Only publicly available interest layers are included. No confidential layers are displayed. User-added data is only accessible to the individual who adds it. This data is stored temporarily and will not persist if the user clears their browser cache. Due to volume of data included layers may take time to load. To improve draw time, zoom in as closely as possible to your area of interest. Data is sourced live from the BC Geographic Warehouse, which may occasionally experience temporary outages. The information presented on this map is provided without prejudice for the purposes of land research. It is subject to revision and does not constitute a legal definition.

Acquired land is property where the ministry has secured an interest in the land, either directly or through an agent acting on behalf of the ministry. The title is in the name of His Majesty the King in the Right of Ontario or a partner agency. This data class only includes acquired land that is managed by the Ministry of Natural Resources. Other provincial government land that is not managed by MNR is included in the Patent land external data class, where discovered.
