(ADP), on behalf of the Government of Alberta, the ATS v4.1 Polygons - Legal Subdivision (LSD) with Road Allowance layer contains polygons that represent the location of LSD and adjacent Road Allowance Segment polygons, derived from the Master Alberta Township System points file published as ATS Version 4.1, dated March 31, 2005, and clipped to an updated Alberta Data Partnerships Ltd. (ADP) created version of the Alberta provincial boundary. Legal Subdivisions and adjacent road allowance segment polygons are new data that were not available for publication at the inception of ATS Version 4.1.

(ADP) created version of the Alberta provincial boundary. No road allowance segments are included in this layer.

(ADP), on behalf of the Government of Alberta, the ATS v4.1 Polygons - Quarter Section with Road Allowance layer contains polygons that represent the location of Quarter Sections and adjacent Road Allowance Segment polygons, derived from the Master Alberta Township System points file published as ATS Version 4.1, dated March 31, 2005, and clipped to an updated Alberta Data Partnerships Ltd. (ADP) created version of the Alberta provincial boundary.

This dataset contain the 1:20,000 scale contour elevation text converted from the Provincial Digital Base Mapping Project. These contours require the use of elevation text to properly interpret the elevation value of a specific contour. There are two major types of contours, index contours and intermediate contours. Index contours are identified every 5th contour line. For Alberta, the index contour intervals occur every 50 metres in relatively flat terrain and every 100 metres in mountainous terrain. Intermediate contours are contour lines that occur between the index contours. For Alberta, the intermediate contour intervals are every 10 metres in relatively flat terrain and every 20 metres in mountainous terrain. Where elevation change is sudden, intermediate contours may be deleted and only index contours are shown. The elevation text is associated with the index contours. Currently, no contour information exists for Banff, Jasper and Wood Buffalo National Parks and also for the extreme north east portion of the province. The Rangeland Management Zones dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Rangeland Management Zones in Alberta. A Rangeland Management Zone is an administrative area designated by the Lands Division in which grazing and other agricultural uses related to public land are managed by regional branch offices. The boundaries are used to ensure referrals are sent to the correct locations. The Rangeland Management Zones was formerly known as Alberta Sustainable Resource Development Rangeland Management Districts.

The Environment and Parks Lands Officer Regions dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Environment and Parks Lands Officer Regions within the Province of Alberta.

The Air and Watershed Resource Management Contacts and Boundaries dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Air and Watershed Stewardship districts and the manager to contact with questions or concerns about environmental framework implementation and management response. This dataset was created to lend support to the Regulatory Assurance Division.

The Environment and Parks Lands Officer Districts dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Environment and Parks Lands Officer Districts within the Province of Alberta.

The Peat Application Area dataset depicts available land which may contain peat resources, and the requirement of a peat application in Alberta. Areas where peat exploration is not allowed due to environmental concerns such as the presence of waterbodies and rivers, trumpeter swan lakes, parks and protected areas, key wildlife and biodiversity areas, caribou zones, and HUC 8 watersheds with bull trout and arctic grayling were removed. This generalized product represents areas where a peat harvesting application can be submitted.

The Public Land Recreation Area dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent Public Land Recreation Areas in Alberta. A Public Land Recreation Area is an area of recreation land designated under the authority of Section 179 of the Public Lands Administration Regulation under the Public Lands Act. Public Land Recreation Area was formerly known as Forest Recreation Area under the Forest Recreation Regulation under the Forests Act. No changes to the Forest Recreation Area data layer were made when it was migrated to become the Public Land Recreation Area dataset.
