Polyline feature layer of winter trails in Manitoba provincial parks. This feature layer contains polylines showing locations of winter trails in Manitoba provincial parks. Winter trails are those trails designated for certain winter activities, such as cross-country skiing, skijoring, skate-skiing, fat biking, and dog sledding. Most of these trails are groomed by Manitoba Parks staff throughout the season. This layer is used in the interactive map Manitoba Parks - Winter Activity Trails Map and the web app Manitoba Parks - Winter Trails and Recreation Areas. The dataset includes the following fields (Alias (Name): Description) Trail Name (Trail_Name): Name of the trail Park Name (Park_Name): Name of the provincial park where the trail is located Winter Use (Winter_Use): Indicates whether or not the trail is designated for winter use (Note: All features in this layer have a value of 'Yes') For more information about winter activities, visit the Manitoba Parks website.

Community Areas are a standard analytical and service delivery geography for the city of Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. Community Areas are a standard analytical and service delivery geography for the city of Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.  The Community Areas geographic areas were developed by the Community Data Network (now more commonly referred to as the Winnipeg Community Data Consortium), with input from the WRHA, Manitoba Health, the City of Winnipeg, and other stakeholders. Community areas can be defined to either include or exclude the municipalities of East and West St. Paul. Because the Winnipeg RHA is defined to include East and West St. Paul, use of the geographies in a health services or health status context includes East and West St. Paul. Conversely, because the City of Winnipeg excludes East and West St. Paul, use of the geographies in a municipal administrative context excludes East and West St. Paul. This shapefile reflects the use of Community Areas in a health services or health status context, and includes East and West St. Paul.

The purpose of this dataset is to show end users where LiDAR data has been acquired by the Government of Manitoba. LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a remote sensing technology that uses lasers to collect accurate, continuous elevation data over relatively large areas. These data are essential for activities such as forestry, flood risk management, land use planning, and natural resources management. The Manitoba Government is increasingly acquiring LiDAR data across the province. This layer was created on August 5, 2009 by Manitoba Sustainable Development and was updated on August 9, 2021.To  download LiDAR data from the Manitoba Land Initiative (MLI) site, follow this link: https://mli2.gov.mb.ca/dems/index_external_lidar.html Fields included ( Alias (Field Name): Field description.) This application is created to allow public to access and apply for authorization under Section 14(4) of the Manitoba Water Resources Administration Act. This application allows public to access and apply for authorization under section 14(4) of Manitoba Water Resources Administration Act. The map within the application contains lines and polygons showing the locations of provincial waterways, such as drains, dikes, diversions, detention basins, floodways, dams and reservoirs. The datasets were created by digitizing high-resolution imagery of the water features and by digitizing the titled Water Control Work plans associated with the features for drains which have been designated as provincial waterways by Order-in-Council. Manitoba Municipal Boundaries and Manitoba Property Assessment information are also displayed on the map for reference purposes.
