A Public Right Area Object representing the spatial extent of a protected landscape as a result of the public interest or common good. These areas can include habitat, wilderness areas and other special management areas. This cadastral framework provides a parcel base of properly structured vector data designed and suited for Geographical Information System (GIS) application and can be used for land management purposes. This data set is not be used for defining boundaries. Administrative decisions should be based on legal documents and legal survey plans. Distributed from GeoYukon by the Government of Yukon . The Yukon Geological Survey (YGS) has compiled over 195 surficial geology maps into a standardized GIS format, providing approximately 80% coverage of the territory. The maps range in scales from 1:250,000 to 1:10,000 with spatial overlap between scales. The original maps were produced by various agencies, including the Geological Survey of Canada, YGS, Yukon Government, universities, and the City of Whitehorse. All original feature descriptions have been preserved and also converted to standardized values using the Yukon terrain classification system. The compilation includes 4 GIS datasets and supporting documents available for download via YGS integrated data system (YGSIDS) or GeoYukon. A .lyr file is provided to symbolize feature classes and differentiate overlapping maps at different scales. Additionally, there is a surficial geology map index. The polygon attributes captured include surficial material, texture, age, surface expression, and geomorphological processes. Line features include geological contacts, glacial limits, glacial landforms (cirques, arêtes, eskers, meltwater channels, moraines), and non-glacial landforms (faults, lineaments, landslides, escarpments). Point features include field station, fossil and sample locations, glacial landforms (erratics, kames, kettles, drumlins, flutings), permafrost features (pingos, palsas, patterned ground, thermokarst depressions), and other non-glacial landforms (landslides, tors). The map index provides information on each map publication such as author, map title, map scale, publisher. These data are valuable for land-use applications in the territory, including: mineral and placer exploration, geotechnical engineering, infrastructure planning, granular resource assessments, permafrost modeling, agricultural assessments, forest management, and biophysical or ecological land classification. Part of the Nova Scotia Topographic Database, the delimiter lines are obtained from various sources which could include Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources, Property Records Database, or Parks Canada. These areas are generally administrative Boundaries. Delimiter Line feature codes and their descriptions are provided with the download in a NSTDB feature code table. This metadata refers to the CLMS N2K Change 2012-2018 product, the Copernicus Land Cover/Land Use (LC/LU) change map tailored to the needs of biodiversity monitoring in selected Natura2000 sites: 4790 sites of natural and semi-natural grassland formations listed in Annex I of the Habitats Directive, including a 2km buffer zone surrounding the sites. The change mapping exercise between the reference years 2012 and 2018, was based on the comparison of VHR satellite data and occurred over an area of 631.800 km² across Europe (i.e. EU27, the United Kingdom and Switzerland). The change dataset only shows the areas that have changed between 2012 and 2018 and covers an area of 1.199.652 ha. LC/LU is extracted from VHR satellite data and other available data. Change detection is based on the analysis of VHR satellite data from the reference years 2012 ±2 years and 2018 ±1 year. The production of N2K updates was coordinated by the European Environment Agency (EEA) in the frame of the EU Copernicus programme.
