Water well records contain details of the location, construction, and groundwater level of wells drilled on Prince Edward Island.
-
The Water Well Registry web mapping application allows users to search for water well sites across the territory.
-
Point features showing the location of groundwater wells in BC joined with attributes and information from the Groundwater Wells and Aquifers (GWELLS) application. NOTE: Artesian wells are flowing wells at the time of drilling. Suggested Filters: - Groundwater Supply Wells - Intended Water Use: WELL_CLASS = 'Water Supply' - Provincial Observation Wells: OBSERVATION_WELL_STATUS = 'Active' OR OBSERVATION_WELL_STATUS = 'Inactive'

Created for distribution by the GeoYukon application as a comprehensive resource for all publicly available Oil and Gas information in the Yukon government. This data may be used directly by other applications to dynamically display Yukon data; however, it may be subject to change as data sets are updated or added.

This dataset is a record of existing data related to public drinking water systems and source water protection in Yukon and contains:• Spatial data including well and source water locations, well capture zones; and• Georeferenced metadata including aquifer and hydrogeology information, well logs, well completion details, water quality information, source water protection planning information, and water treatment and distribution information from this report. The information was compiled as a discreet project under the ‘Yukon Water Strategy’ and represents a ‘snapshot in time’ of the Drinking Water Systems. Information for the project was provided by the various Drinking Water System owners included in the project. There is no immediate plan for updating the data, but there is hope that the information can be reviewed and updated on a scheduled basis, depending on available resources

[ARCHIVED] Recommendation is to discontinue the “Nova Scotia Groundwater Observation Well Temperature Data”. This is for scientific / technical reasons. The data was never designed to be collected as a dataset on its own, but is used by sensors to create a correction facter for other data (groundwater levels). Developments in academic research show that the type of water wells we monitor for groundwater levels do not have the correct design for measuring temperature, with issues that include the potential within wells for thermal convection cells that cause groundwater temperature readings to fluctuate inconsistently. Groundwater temperatures have been recorded from the NS Groundwater Observation Well monitoring network since 2003. This temperature data is presented as daily averages and may be influenced by a number of variable factors including air temperature, well construction, depth, geology and groundwater conditions.

Protected wellfield polygons are a graphical representation of wellfield boundaries as defined in the Clean Water Act – Wellfield Protected Area Designation Order. Attributes include municipality, designation number, zones and associated wellfield ID’s.

The well registry is a collection of records, including drilling logs and report documents, maintained by Yukon G overnment. These records provide information on the well construction details and subsurface conditions encountered at the time of drilling. Although some information in the dataset may be edited over time, the primary purpose is to document the original drilling conditions and not to provide an updated status of the well. There is no current overarching requirement for drillers or owners to submit well logs, therefore many have been provided on a voluntary basis. Therefore, this should not be expected to be a complete list of all wells across the territory. The water well dataset contains records obtained through the domestic water well program, voluntary submissions, and regulatory processes (licenses and permits). No identifiable personal information will be used or available on the public database.
