The dataset is a line geometry layer of road sections used for 2024 measuring traffic volume.

The data represents roads not maintained by DTI whose primary purpose is to access the forest resources on crown or private land within the province.

The Civic Addressable Roads dataset is a road network that contains road geometry only where civic addressing exists. The dataset contains civic address information from the Nova Scotia Civic Address File.

Roads captured at 1:1,000,000 scale from Digital Chart of the World data for the Yukon and surrounding area. These roads were compared to the Government of Canada's National Road Network (NRN) and Yukon Government's existing orthoimagery to determine the validity of each road. Symbolizing the highway routes with hatch marks is a useful method of posting measurement or distances along a route. To assign hatching symbology at 2 kilometre intervals an ArcGIS Version 10.2.2 symbology layer file has been created. It can be imported into the feature class when assigning symbology in an ArcGIS map file. The layer file name is NWTHighways2kmHatching_V10_2_2.lyr. It is a useful file to have due to the requirement for VBScript when labeling the hatches. If you would like a copy of this file please contact the NWT Centre for Geomatics.

The Public Works Road Weight Designations dataset provides information on allowable weights for all roads owned by the Nova Scotia Department of Public Works.
