The dataset comprises digital element distribution maps based on geochemical analyses of stream sediments collected in West and South Greenland. The maps were produced as part of the geochemical mapping programme underlying the Geochemical Atlas of West and South Greenland. The data represent analyses of various elements in defined grain-size fractions and provide a regional overview of geochemical variations.

This dataset comprises regional geochemical stream sediment data from West and South Greenland and forms the basis of the Geochemical Atlas of West and South Greenland (Steenfelt, 2001). The Geochemical Atlas of West and South Greenland presents the results of a regional stream sediment geochemical mapping programme conducted between 1979 and 1998. A total of 7,122 stream sediment samples were collected from low-order streams with near-uniform spatial coverage across West and South Greenland. The <0.1 mm grain-size fraction of 500 g samples was analysed for major and trace elements using X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA), delayed neutron counting (DNC) and loss on ignition (LOI). After systematic calibration and quality control to eliminate analytical bias between different methods and time periods, a harmonised and internally consistent dataset was established containing up to 43 elements per sample. The atlas provides a regional overview of the geochemical composition of the minerogenic fraction of stream sediments and constitutes a geochemical baseline dataset for geological mapping and mineral exploration in Greenland.

The National well database (Jupiter) among other things contains water level measurements from Danish wells. The database contains water level measurements from the municipalities, the groundwater-monitoring program, the regions soil pollution investigations and from the establishment of new wells.

The Samba database contains information about geophysical investigations made in the Danish sector, acquired according to the Danish Act on the Use of the Subsoil. The data is acquired in relation to investigation for oil/gas, geothermal energy, the storage of gas or salt. That is: Seismic (2D & 3D) acquisitions, CSEM as well as other magnetic and gravity acquisitions shipborne as well as airborne. The dataset also contains geophysical measurement performed in the deep wells and meta data about the seismic surveys. The data has been submitted by the licensees. The database is updated on an ongoing basis.

This dataset is based on the Geological Survey of Denmark map series no. 45 and represents a compiled geological map product produced in the early 1990s. The map is based on existing geological maps, seismic surveys, and previous interpretations, providing a regional overview of the geological conditions within the mapped area. The dataset forms part of the national mapping activities of the Geological Survey of Denmark and was published in 1994.

The dataset comprises a geological map of the Danish Central Graben at a scale of 1:200,000 presenting regional maps of ‘Base Chalk’ and the Chalk Group in terms of two-way travel time, depth, interval velocity and vertical thickness (isochore). The map was published in 1995 as part of the DGU Map Series no. 48 and was produced as part of a comprehensive geological mapping of the Danish Central Graben. The mapping is based on regional interpretation of seismic data supplemented by information from boreholes. The map covers the Danish part of the Central Graben and parts of the eastern North Sea, and adjacent areas in the Norwegian, British and German sectors are included in order to define regional structural relationships. The map sheet consists of several thematic sub-maps that together describe the structure and stratigraphy of the area.

The dataset comprises a geological map of the Danish Central Graben at a scale of 1:200,000 presenting regional maps of the Base Upper Jurassic and the Upper Jurassic. The map was published in 1995 as part of the DGU Map Series no. 50 and was produced as part of a comprehensive geological mapping of the Danish Central Graben.

The exclusive economic zone in the North Sea, Skagerrak, Kattegat, Øresund, Storebælt and the Baltic Sea comprises sea areas outside and adjacent to the territorial sea up to a distance of 200 nautical miles from the baselines in force at any time. With regard to the course of the baselines, reference is made to the executive order on the delimitation of Denmark's territorial sea in force at any time. The border is covered by Executive Order No. 1662 of 17/11/2020 https://www.retsinformation.dk/eli/lta/2020/1662.

The dataset comprises regional airborne radiometric measurements acquired in Greenland during 1975–1982 as part of systematic geophysical mapping programmes. The measurements were collected using aircraft-mounted gamma spectrometers and record natural gamma radiation from potassium (K), thorium (Th) and uranium (U). The surveys covered large parts of Greenland and were conducted to support regional geological mapping and mineral exploration. The data constitute a historical geophysical reference dataset for analyses of near-surface lithological variations and the distribution of radioactive elements.

The dataset consists of three different datasets with combined place names in various geological maps: Geological map of Greenland 1:2.500.000, Geological maps of Greenland 1:500.000 and Topographic map of Greenland 1:250.000.
